The 3-year grant from Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation (Germany) that was won by Prof Verena Alice Geissbühler and Dr. Musa Kayondo Grant title: “Women’s health in Uganda with a focus on pelvic floor Disorders” has already benefited 42 Ugandan women during the recent MUST/MRRH urogynecology camp held from 12th to 16th December 2022. It was a successful 5- day camp at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
During the urogynecology camp, the MUST team was led by the Head of the Department Dr. Musa Kayondo (PhD), a fistula surgeon, and a senior lecturer at MUST. Other Doctors included: Dr. Rodgers Kajabwangu and Dr. Kato Kalyebara Paul both fistula surgeons, the urogynecology fellows; Dr. Brenda Aniomugisha, Dr. Onesmus Byamukama and a team of Obsgyn residents were involved in the camp attaining more skills for their training.
