NURSING EDUCATION IN UGANDA: A CASE STUDY AT MUST

Four Staff And One Students From The Department of Nursing-must  join the rest of the nurses in Uganda  to celebrate the 2017 nurses and midwives symposium under the theme “Recognizing the Unsung Heroes of Our Health System”.  The purpose of the symposium was to orient midwives and nurses on updated national and global RMNCAH service delivery  approaches and innovations implemented by Jhpiego and partners, and to spotlight the exceptional contribution of nurses and midwives to Uganda’s health sector.

Dr. Racheal the Director of the Birth Centre project at Atyiak in Gulu with the team from MUST

Staff from Mbarara University Nursing department in collaboration with Peace Corps  and the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology are working towards establishing a birth model in the hospital or community as a teaching facility for nursing and medical students.  The team set off to Gulu Atiak on 15th February 2017.  The team members from Nursing department; Dr Grace Nambozi , Sr Betty Kinkuhaire, Sr Anne Aposcova, from the department OBS /GYN; Dr. Joseph Ngonzi, Dr Joel Bottino and from the Hospital;  Sr Robinah Tunihire.  Prior to the visit, arrangements were made with Dr.

5TH YEAR MERRY GO ROUND on 6th May 2016 Organised by Internal Medicine Department

Internal Medicine department has organised the 5th Year Merry go round this is due to take place on 6th May 2016. It's a special training on how to improve on the clinical skills while on ward. It's the first of its kind and will envolve consultants, seniors and lecturer. Kindly attend if you can.
