Call for abstracts for oral presentation

The Scientific Program Committee of the National Nursing Leadership Conference at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) on June 9th and 10th invites submission of abstracts for oral papers on topics that align with the conference theme of “Paving the Way for a New Era in Nursing.”  Abstracts are welcome from researchers, practitioners and early career researchers (students). Submissions should focus on nursing practice, nursing education, or nursing policy. Topics from all areas of nursing practice are welcome including medical, surgical, critical care, psychiatric, pediatric, obstetric, public health, and other specialties.  We also welcome papers on new approaches to nursing education including e-learning.  Papers on policy development and approaches to increasing the professionalism of nursing are also welcome.
Oral paper presentations will be allocated 20 minutes, 15 minutes for the paper presentation and 5 minutes for questions. There will be concurrent sessions of 4 to 5 papers. All submitted abstracts will be blind peer-reviewed. The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to decide on the acceptance of the presentations based on time and space available. 

Abstract submission instructions
Abstracts are to be submitted online. Abstracts should be a maximum of 350 words. Submissions should include a concise title and the full names and contact details of the authors. The lead author/presenter should be listed first as the key contact. Any additional authors should then be listed and be clearly identified if they will be co-presenting at the conference.  Please do not include any acknowledgments, figures or references in the abstract.  The abstract should be in Microsoft Word, single-spaced, using Times New Roman font size 12 with one inch margins on all sides.
The author should include 3 outcome objectives for the presentation in addition to the abstract.
A brief personal biography (less than 100 words) from the presenting author should also be included which can be used to introduce speakers at the conference.
The abstract of those papers selected will be published in the final conference program.
Abstract Submission Dates and Address

Abstracts must be submitted by 5 pm on May 9th. The Scientific Program Committee will do a blind peer review and will notify the author by May 16th if the paper has been accepted for presentation.
